Time To Begin...

A year and a half ago, I managed to lose a stone. Not healthily I admit, I wasn't eating properly due to stress and  heartache. I also became a little obsessed with weighing myself everyday, I would literally tear up if I gained even the slightest amount. My life would revolve around those weighing scales.

Sadly, since I've began university I've put that weight back on plus a couple of pounds. My self-esteem is the size of a peanut so I've decided that I need to make some changes, I've even contemplated hypnotherapy to encourage myself to make good choices when it comes to health and fitness. My big problem is snacking as I get bored and restless quickly. Especially after work as I'm quite tired and can't keep myself distracted from the thought of food.

I remember the first time I managed to lose weight, there was a point where I no longer thought about food and only ate when I needed too. I hope to get to that point again. I have the summer holidays to try and tackle the weight I've gained. I want to lose a stone. I'm happier at that size, plus my esteem will increase.

So to kick off, I've decided to write a blog to document my journey. A public blog so that it'll deter me from going back to my wicked ways.

At present, I weigh 10.6 stone and I'm 5"5. I want to get down to 9.6 stone, it's 25th July, I've got until October to make some headway because that's when uni starts again. I hope I can do it.

GOALS
> Lose a stone
> Exercise 4-5 times a week (6-7hrs a week - cardio)
> Eat well and only have healthy snacks.

If I meet my target, I'll post before and after photographs if I have enough confidence to do so.
